2007 EXHIBIT

Physics and Arts Exhibit

While physics and art seem to be entirely separate subjects, the exhibit created in University at Buffalo's Fronczak hall by PASI 2007 students show the many profound ways that the two fields are intricately linked.  Both seek to understand the most basic elements of existence and seek ultimate truth.  The Large Hadron Collider, set to be turned on in 2008, will further broaden our understanding of the nature of the universe through understanding the Higgs Boson and other elementary particles.  Many of the exhibits created by PASI 2007 detail exciting new discoveries that will likely be revealed by the LHC.  Other exhibits detail the amazing technical innovations that have made an ambitious project like the LHC possible.

The aim of this exhibit is to show the complexity of the world of particle physics and particle accelerators in a clear, easy to understand form that is geared to the general public.
